The double pipe serves as a connecting piece for the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) of the S58 engine from BMW. The S58 is a sports version derived from the BMW B58. It was introduced in 2019 with the BMW X3 M/ X4 M models. Since March 2021, the engine has also been installed in the M3 and M4 models.
